Peopleklick

Peopleklick is a social networking website offering an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, customisable personal profile page, blogs, pictures, music, videos and an online store.

Profile customisation

The site allows users to register and create their own personal pages. Twin Dots has implemented the AJAX "DRAG & DROP" technique to provide users with interactivity and flexibility. The personal pages display custom headers and footers uploaded by the users, music playlists, videos, photo galleries, event calendar, bulletin board, business card, visitors' comments and users' rating.

Music

Twin Dots has developed a Flash music player for Peopleklick. Users upload their own tracks and create multiple playlists which can be streamed via the Flash music player on their profile pages. The music player allows the user to play mp3 tracks, stop, skip to the next track or the track before, pause a selected track, select a random track in the playlist and jump to it, set the playlist to random playing order or to repeat itself, increase/decrease the volume or set it to mute, as well as rate individual tracks and/or playlists.

Videos

In order to enable playback for the various video formats available such as *.avi, *.dv, *.mov, *.qt, *.mpeg, *.mp4, *.3gp, *.asf, *.wmv and *.flv, Twin Dots implemented a server-based conversion application for encoding FLV files on Linux servers for Adobe® Flash® Player 8 and 9 video output. User generated videos automatically get encoded and streamed through a custom-made cross-platform Flash media player. Similarly to the music player above, the media player displays video related data, offers playback and volume control and a rating system.

Online store

The online store features items for sale by the site users. A user-friendly interface has been put in place to facilitate the items listing process and the site incorporates Google Checkout Payments.
